Celem artykułu jest dostarczenie kilku istotnych informacji dotyczących aspektów prawnych, ekonomicznych oraz socjologicznych ubezpieczenia D&O, a także omówienie jego struktury, zakresu oraz zastosowania. Dodatkowo autorka wskazuje na ryzyka związane z ubezpieczeniem oraz rozważa, czy ubezpieczenie znajduje usprawiedliwienie w rzeczywistości biznesowej.

The aim of the article is to provide some important information on legal, economic and sociological aspects of D&O insurance, as well as to discuss its structure, scope and use. Furthermore, the author indicates risks connected with insurance, and wonders whether the insurance finds justification in the business reality.
