The aim of article is to show circumstances of the gender discrimination against candidates for job on the labour market and in employment. The subject of analysis is unequal treatment of women in employment in comparison to men. National statistical data confirm the discrimination agaimst women in access to work and in payment of wages. The results of studies based on social opinions of employers and employees, proved that certain groups of employees apply unequality in wages, in access to training and in promotion to a higher office. The essential result of the analysis is that employers have recognized their direct and indirect discriminating practices.
