Some properties of the distribution indicate the possibility of treating it analogically to the numbers because of the introduction of addition and multiplication operators. As a addition operator the convolution of two distributions can be used. In such situation it is compulsory to create a fuli set of all elements that can be added using the convolution. The analysis which was conducted is showing, that not all of them are distributions. To use a convolution as an addition operator in the meaning of arithmetical operator it is necessary to generalize the conception of the distribution. In the article the conception of pseudodistribution is introduced. It includes all objects of the created full set. The definition of addition is the entry point for the definition of multiplication. We can distinguish two kinds of multiplication - using the extraction and using the composition. In the classical arithmetic both ways are leading to the same results, but for the distributions they give different results. In the article the way of addition and whole number multiplication for the composition is shown. It enables the multiplication of distributions and rational numbers in the meaning of composition.

It is proposed to determine the degree of resources scarcity and optimize distribution processes of resource markets in the socio-economic systems through administrative and economic instruments on the base of analysis of Pareto distribution density.

The routing problems are one of the most important problems in the field of logistic with great practical applicability. This article deals with synchronized distribution during time periods. It is based on optimization using classical capacitated vehicle routing problem while providing different customers’ demands among time periods. The goal is, except the minimization of the total distance, to achieve the stability of solution among the time periods, which contributes to simplification of transportation planning. Although using of the presented model can lead to a partial increase of distribution cost, on the other hand it ensures more transparent routes and eliminates the need for daily optimization. Therefore it brings a positive effect for distributors, drivers and customers that may result in greater economic benefits than the benefit from the optimization on a daily basis.

Distribution of a word across contexts has proved to be a very useful approximation of the word’s meaning. This paper reflects on the recent attempts to enhance distributional (or vector space) semantics of words with meaning composition, in particular with Fregean compositionality. The author discusses the nature and performance of distributional semantic representations and argues against the thesis that semantics is in some sense identical with distribution. Instead he proposes that distribution is merely a reflection of semantics, and a substantially imperfect one. That raises some doubts regarding the very idea of obtaining semantic representations for larger wholes (phrases, sentences) by combining the distributional representations of particular items. In any case, the author rejects the generally unquestioned assumption that formal semantics provides a good theory of semantic composition, which it would be desirable to combine with distributional semantics (as a theory that is highly successful on the lexical field). He suggests that a positive alternative to the strong reading of the distributional hypothesis can be seen in the philosophy of inferentialism with respect to language meaning. The author argues that the spirit of inferentialism is reasonably compatible with the current practice of distributional semantics, and he discusses the motivations for as well as the obstacles in the way of implementing the philosophical position in a computational framework.

A proposed description of today's publishing movement in Poland, drawn using primarily the distribution key. A 'main' popular/commercial circulation is discerned along with three 'lesser-reach profiled circulations'. Following Przemyslaw Czaplinski, the former is called a 'book-trail' (Polish, ksiazkostrada)] and identified with the dominant chains such as EMPiK. 'Profiled circulations' (i.e. scientific, religious and literary) are compared to local roads from any of which you can enter the publishing 'highway' as well. The closer the distribution centre, the larger the heterogeneity and dispersion of what is inside there - and, the other way round: the closer the peripheries, the stronger the uniformity and specialisation of offer. It is also proposed that former 'vertical' metaphors with which socio-literary phenomena have been described, be replaced by 'horizontal' ones. The 'high-artistic' and 'popular' circulations do not form an expressive opposition today; neither does the system of ‘main circulation' vs. 'profiled circulations'. Moreover, in the author's opinion, the notion of 'literary circulations' has become problematic in itself - and ought to be replaced by 'publishing circulations'. Only in the latter's content should participation of literature in the book market as a whole be investigated.

Existing research shows that political representatives use public resources to reward their allies while punish their rivals. In region of Central Europe such literature is rather underdeveloped and this article aims to fill this gap. It analyses distribution of environmental grants in Slovakia between 2005 and 2015. The results show that grants are primarily given to towns led by mayors supported by governmental parties. In case of coalition governments a better access to public resources is found for towns led by mayors supported by the party controlling the distribution process than for municipalities with mayors supported by other governmental parties.

This paper investigates the effect of distribution in terms of tertiary education graduates by fields on economic growth over the 1998 – 2012 periods for 27 OECD countries by using a two-step System GMM method proposed by Arellano and Bover (1995) and Blundell and Bond (1998). We calculate distribution of graduates from education, humanities and arts, social sciences, sciences, engineering, agriculture, and health and welfare through standard deviation methods. Our results reveal that for all fields, except education and agriculture, the distribution of graduates among the sub-fields of the mentioned fields has a positive and significant effect on economic growth. The results obtained from this study may help universities, governments and enterprises plan their investments on human capital. In addition, governments can consider our results to determine the allocation of resources for tertiary education and to develop effective employment policies.

Karl Marx never questioned distributive justice although his theoretical researches are based on his criticism of capitalism and exploitation (labour theory of value). The paper offers a comparison of the classical Marxian theory with the contemporary critical Marxian theory as well as with J. Rawls’s theory of justice with regard to applying the Marxian theory in China’s economic reform. Rawls underestimates the role of the relations of production, his theory of justice as fairness being a synthesis of the reward principle and the equality principle under the economic conditions of capitalism. The analysis of the theory and practice of China’s economic reform leads to the two conclusions: 1) Distribution and redistribution are based on different principles of justice. 2) Neither of the above mentioned principles could be used in practice without deformations, as the establishment of a fair society is too a complex task.

The article presents and discusses press-related excerpts from Pamietniki (Memoires) by Antoni Gorski (1922-2006), a graduate of the lower secondary school in Krzemieniec, an engineer and a settler. In the summer of 1937, he worked as a paper boy in Gdynia, one of the most rapidly developing Polish cities in the twenty years between the two world wars; it was also around that period that he came into contact with distributors of the Fascist paper 'Falanga'. After the war he was a contributor to 'Wiadomosci Legnickie', a newspaper published in the Recovered Territories which became a local forum for discussions during the thaw of 1956.
