Thesis/Objective – The paper contains a description of „Cloud-based library data infrastructure” project implemented in Germany from 2013 to 2016 the aim of which is to migrate all libraries to Alma and WMS library systems. The discussion also covers the library migration to RDA-related international formats and cataloging standards. Research methods – The author used a systemic analysis (the project presented as a part of German library system), semantic analysis of institutional document content created mostly by DFG (a financing body) and analysis of the literature in the field. Results/Conclusions – Transformations introduced and systems selected for German libraries (Alma and WMS) enable librarians to describe digital and non-digital media in a uniform manner, enable German libraries to enter a global digital network and confirms the efficiency of consistent and long-term planned library strategy implemented by the German government.

Teza/cel artykułu – Przedstawiono założenia projektu „Infrastruktura danych bibliotecznych na bazie Cloud” realizowanego w Niemczech w latach 2013-2016, którego celem jest przejście bibliotek na pracę w systemie Alma i WMS. Omówiono proces przechodzenia bibliotek niemieckich na międzynarodowe formaty i standardy katalogowania RDA. Metody badań – analiza systemowa – projekt przedstawiany jest jako fragment niemieckiego systemu bibliotecznego; analiza semantyczna treści dokumentów instytucjonalnych, tworzonych głównie przez DFG – instytucję finansującą; analiza literatury przedmiotu. Wyniki/wnioski – Kierunek odjętych zmian i wybór systemów nowej generacji Alma i WMS daje możliwość ujednoliconego opracowania mediów analogowych i cyfrowych. Wprowadza niemieckie biblioteki do globalnej przestrzeni sieciowej. Potwierdza skuteczność konsekwentnej i długofalowej polityki bibliotecznej państwa.
