Produkty systemowe mogą być traktowane jako koncepcja opisująca specyfikę pewnej kategorii produktów i usług funkcjonujących we współczesnym obrocie gospodarczym. Takie produkty umożliwiają konsumentowi uzyskanie zróżnicowanych wartości w tym samym czasie. W celu rozwoju teorii i badań empirycznych dotyczących produktów systemowych, konieczne jest określenie, w jakim zakresie prosumpcja, jako tendencja w zachowaniach konsumenckich i konstrukt teoretyczny, może być traktowana jako egzemplifikacja konsumpcji produktów systemowych. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest właśnie rozwikłanie tego problemu. Cel ten zostanie osiągnięty poprzez krytyczny przegląd literatury dotyczącej prosumpcji i produktów systemowych. Artykuł ten ma zatem charakter konceptualny i formułuje tezę, że każdy produkt niesystemowy staje się systemowym, jeśli staje się przedmiotem prosumpcji.

System products may be treated as the specific category of goods and services that function in today market. Such products enable customers to acquire multiple values at the same time. Further development of theory and empirical research on system products demands clarifying to what extent prosumption may be treated as the exemplification of system products’ consuming. This paper handles this problem and it suggests that every non-system product becomes system product, if it is consumed in the act of prosumption. This thesis motivates scholars focusing on system products to stronger interest in prosumption in further studies.
