W Archiwum Akt Nowych w Warszawie zachował się dokument będący sprawozdaniem polskiej delegacji Ministerstwa Sprawiedliwości z pobytu (1956) w ZSRR. Daje on możliwość przyjrzenia się pewnym aspektom funkcjonowania resortu sprawiedliwości ZSRR niejako od wewnątrz, zza kulis. Dokument jest też przyczynkiem do poszukiwania analogii albo odmienności w funkcjonowaniu resortu sprawiedliwości PRL, zwłaszcza w okresie stalinowskim, kiedy po politycznie przełomowym roku 1948 nastąpiło przyspieszenie upodabniania wszelkich rozwiązań do wzorów radzieckich.

In the Central Archives of Modern Records in Warsaw a document is preserved which is a report produced by a Polish delegation from the Ministry of Justice regarding its recent visit to the USSR. It gives us an opportunity to look behind the scenes of the Ministry of Justice of the USSR and understand how it functioned. This document contributes to the search for analogies or differences in the functioning of the Ministry of Justice People’s Republic of Poland, in the Stalinist period, when the political breakthrough of 1948 accelerated the convergence of all solutions to the Soviet model
