W artykule przedstawiono istotę zakupów on-line realizowanych przez konsumentów oraz uwarunkowania tego typu zakupów w Unii Europejskiej. Dodatkowo zaprezentowano w nim profil e-nabywcy z Polski i Unii Europejskiej oraz podobieństwa i różnice występujące w zakupach on-line dokonywanych przez polskiego i europejskiego konsumenta. Analizę przeprowadzono, wykorzystując informacje wtórne pochodzące ze źródeł krajowych i zagranicznych.

The article presents the very nature of on-line shopping done by consumers and conditions of doing this type of shopping in the European Union. Additionally, a profile of a Polish e-shopper is contrasted with an average resident of the European Union. Differences and similarities observed while doing online shopping by Polish and European consumers are presented. The analysis was carried out using secondary information that came from domestic and foreign sources.
