The paper deals with the essence of entrepreneurial management which is featured by entrepreneurship and innovativeness. Entrepreneurial management is referred to the case of small and medium companies. Proprietors of small and medium enterprises should manage their organizations in such a way that they achieve settled goals in an effective way. Therefore, they must be resourceful, innovative and creative.

The objective of his article is to present the concept of entrepreneurial management developed by Stevenson and Jarillo (1999) as well as is operationalization presented by Brown, Davidson and Wiklund (2001). The article presents research carried out in 236 Polish organizations, showing their dominant style of management , on the basis of the concept of entrepreneurial management.
