In the fragmentary (even though about 2,550 poems survived) corpus of the lyric poetry of troubadours from southern France ('Provence', Occitania), some 2% were composed by women (trobairitz). The article discusses some problems related to the output of those female poets, which is quantitatively insignificant but very significant in the historical, artistic and cultural context. Two most important of them: Comtessa de Dia and Castelloza are presented in more detail, along with their poetry. In the conclusion some problems and stages of modern receptions of those poems are mentioned.
