The main aim of the article is a presentation of Polish intellectual and politicial elites in the context of the most important ideas of European integration 1915 -1939. In the first part, the author characterizes Friedrich Naumann's conception of 'Mitteleurope', Richard Coudenhove-Calergi's theory of 'Paneurope' and Aristide Briand's idea of European Union from the League of Nations. Next, the author describes the ideas of economic integration put forward by Andr Tardieus, Elmer Hantoss and Milan Hodzas and comments on ideas created by Polish politicians.
