Easter Eve is the central part of the Easter Triduum. Saint Augustine and his followers often call it ‚the mother of all eves’. The author focuses on one aspect of Easter celebrations, namely the Exultet message. Having analysed the existing sources and other materials, he shows the origin of the message, its place in the Easter liturgy, its specii c structure, vocabulary and numerous melodies used to announce in a solemn way the Resurrection.
