The paper presents results of an evaluation on Polish regions' spatially-diversified competitiveness, and their associated economic infrastructure. On this base, an interdependence between the regions' competitiveness and their infrastructure development was analyzed. For the analyis, taxonomical measures were used, calculated by the Z. Hellwig method, based on diagnostic variables, and depicting various aspects of the competitiveness and state of the economic infrastructure of each region. (original abstract)

W artykule przedstawiono zmiany, jakie miały miejsce w wyposażeniu infrastrukturalnym obszarów wiejskich w Polsce w latach 1990—2006. Przedmiotem analizy jest pięć kluczowych elementów infrastruktury gospodarczej — sieć wodociągowa, kanalizacyjna, gazowa i drogowa oraz oczyszczalnie ścieków. Znaczenie infrastruktury gospodarczej w rozwoju obszarów wiejskich wynika z postrzegania jej jako podstawowego warunku prowadzenia i rozwoju działalności gospodarczej oraz elementu decydującego o standardzie życia. W opracowaniu pokazano, że w Polsce dokonał się znaczny postęp w rozwoju infrastruktury na obszarach wiejskich, w szczególności w rozwoju systemu odprowadzania i oczyszczania ścieków.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The article presents changes in infrastructure equipment of Polish rural areas in the years 1990—2006. There are five key networks of the economic infrastructure: water supply, sewerage, gas, road and sewage treatment. A high importance is attached to the economic infrastructure of rural areas as a basic condition of the economic activity and an element deciding on a life standard. The article presents infrastructural development of Polish rural areas especially in the sewage (treatment) system.(original abstract)

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie charakterystyki stanu i zróżnicowania wyposażenia obszarów wiejskich woj. wielkopolskiego w podstawowe elementy infrastruktury gospodarczej: sieć drogową, sieć wodociągową, sieć kanalizacyjną, sieć gazową oraz oczyszczalnie ścieków. Analizie poddano wyposażenie tych terenów w podstawowe elementy infrastruktury gospodarczej w przekroju powiatów (stan na 31 grudnia 2007 r.). Badaniami objęto wszystkie powiaty, których terytorium tworzą obszary wiejskie (31 powiatów ziemskich). Przeprowadzone obliczenia oparto na danych statystycznych udostępnionych przez GUS (Bank Danych Regionalnych). Pomiaru poziomu rozwoju infrastruktury gospodarczej na obszarze wiejskim każdego z analizowanych powiatów dokonano posługując się dwoma zestawami cech diagnostycznych. W podejściu pierwszym infrastrukturę opisano za pomocą wskaźników natężenia (charakteryzujących gęstość), a w podejściu drugim - wskaźników struktury (charakteryzujących dostępność). Porównanie obu podejść poprzez analizę otrzymanych wyników pozwoliło na wskazanie różnic w delimitacji powiatów pod względem ich wyposażenia infrastrukturalnego.

An infrastructural equipment measure in powiats is presented in the article. The measure was executed by two sets of diagnostic features. In the first approach, the infrastructure was described with the aid of density indicators, in the second one - with it the aid of availability indicators. The results showed that both approaches make it possible to select powiats with the unsatisfactory infrastructure equipment level by availability and by density as well as powiats very good equipped. It results from natural conditions as well as from the population density. It was stated that very good infrastructure availability is not strictly correlated with its high density level. Most quickly rises the infrastructure availability in rural areas characterized by low development level (gas and sewage systems).(original abstract)

W artykule podjęto próbę oceny poziomu dostępności mieszkańców wsi w woj. wielkopolskim do podstawowych elementów infrastruktury gospodarczej. Wyniki uzyskane podczas przeprowadzonego badania wskazują na znaczne zróżnicowanie przestrzenne w zagospodarowaniu infrastrukturalnym na obszarach wiejskich Wielkopolski. Bardzo wysokim i wysokim poziomem wyposażenia obszarów wiejskich w infrastrukturę gospodarczą charakteryzują się głównie gminy położone w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie Poznania. Natomiast zgrupowania gmin o niskim wyposażeniu infrastrukturalnym, tworzą rozległe, jednolite skupiska — położone w południowo-wschodniej części województwa oraz na północno-zachodnich krańcach Wielkopolski. In the article the trial of evaluation of the rural areas habitants' accessibility level in the wielkopolskie voivodship to the basic elements of economic infrastructure was presented. The results obtained during the survey indicate a quite big spatial differentiation in infrastructure management of Wielkopolska rural areas. Very high and high level of rural areas economic infrastructure equipment mainly have the communes placed in the direct Poznań's neighbourhood, whereas the groups with very low and low infrastructure development form wide, homogeneous centres placed mostly in south-eastern and north-western parts of the voivodship. Cultural potential of the country can be an important factor in its economic development. The underlying assumption of using cultural potential for the development of cultural tourism is maintenance of buildings and objects of cultural heritage in good condition, their professional presentation and access to a general public. The aim of this paper is to highlight the fact that culture can play an important role in economic and social development of Slovakia and strengthen its competitiveness in the coming years. On the basis of secondary data it is necessary to analyze selected indicators of the Slovak economy towards residents of the country and also to highlight the development of tourism indicators, which greatly affect the country's economy.(original abstract)

Przedstawione w artykule wyniki badań wskazują na duże przestrzenne zróżnicowanie poziomu rozwoju wyposażenia infrastrukturalnego oraz dostępności do jej usług ludności zamieszkującej na obszarach wiejskich Polski. Najwyższym poziomem rozwoju infrastruktury gospodarczej w 2006 r. charakteryzowały się obszary wiejskie województw: pomorskiego, zachodniopomorskiego oraz podkarpackiego. Z kolei najuboższe zasoby infrastruktury gospodarczej charakteryzowały obszary niezurbanizowane województw Polski wschodniej i centralnej. Największe dysproporcje w rozwoju infrastruktury gospodarczej pomiędzy obszarami wiejskimi województw wynikały głównie z dostępności ludności wiejskiej do sieci kanalizacyjnej, sieci gazowej oraz oczyszczalni ścieków. The surveys' results presented in the article pointed at the big spatial diversification of development level of infrastructure equipment and accessibility to its services by the population living in the rural areas of Poland. The highest level of the economy infrastructure development in 2006 was characteristic for the rural areas of following voivodships: Pomorskie, Zachodniopomorskie and Podkarpackie. Whereas, the most unsuficient resources of economic infrastructure were characteristic for non-urbanized areas of voivodships of East and Central Poland. The biggest disproportions between the voivodships' rural areas with high while very low level of economy infrastructure development were mainly resulted by accessibility of rural population to sewage system, gas grid and sewage-treatment plant.
