The thesis is an introduction to a psychology and psychotherapy method called process-oriented psychology or process work created by Arnold Mindell in the 70s of the 19th century. The author discusses the historical development of the method and its links with Taoist philosophy and C.G. Jung’s psychology. The basic ideas of the process work, the method of therapeutic work and its areas of operation are also presented. Also discussed was the issue of metaskills in the workshop of a therapist. The overview on the process-oriented psychotherapy focuses on the presentation of the way of thinking about the man and the world, which constitutes the basis for a therapist’s actions.
