The paper provides an assessment of the support and financing instruments available for renewable energy sources (RES). The first part presents an overview on the different European bodies involved in financing RES development and lists specific funding programmes, pointing out the type and volume of financial support. The instruments have been identified for both, the project as well as the technology dimension. The second part provides an overview of support and financing instruments available for renewable energy in the Member States and the main support instruments (feedin tariffs and quota). Finally the paper develops recommendations for improving financing and support instruments in Poland and closing the financing gap for reaching the 2020 targets.

This article aims to analyze and evaluate the prospects for employment restructuring in the energy sector in Poland and characterize changes in the level and structure of employment in the Polish energy sector. Due to cost, efficiency and scale of investment needed restructuring of employment in the industry seems to be fully justified. The potential reduction of employment in the Polish power sector is large. In energy sector, in the future, there will be huge changes in the structure of energy production. They will lead to reduction of employment in great-scale, corporational power industry. There will be significant demand for specialists in the field of new power technologies, logistics and power farming. This refer to both specialists in the field of design, research and development as well as exploitation.

The concept of sustainable development is slowly deploying into various sectors of the economy. In the European Union, one of the areas where this idea is used is energy. The concept of sustainable energy is widely used and intuitively construed, however, it is difficult to discern the full definition of this phenomenon. The purpose of this article is to define the concept of "sustainable energy". It takes into account both the issue of permanence, as well as the inclusion of social and environmental needs for economic development. Moreover, the text consist general characterization of the main areas where application of this concept is possible.

This article shows the importance of aiming to sustainable developmentof renewable energy for energy sector in Poland. Two detailed aims have benn shown in realisation the main idea of this work: the influence of UE integration for sustainable development for renewable energy sector in Poland; state of development for polish sector of renewable energy. The article shape was subortinated to the main aim. The issue of sustainable development for renewable energy has been shown in the first part.The current state for sustainable development has been shown in the second part. The development forecasts for renewable energy were presentedin the third part. The main conclusions were containted in summary.

Podejście procesowe w zarządzaniu organizacją wraz ze wsparciem ze strony technologii semantycznych znajduje swoje zastosowanie również w sektorze elektroenergetycznym. W artykule podjęto próbę identyfikacji procesów głównych oraz procesów wspomagających w przedsiębiorstwie energetycznym. W dalszej części skupiono się na analizie problemów, z jakimi mogą borykać się współczesne firmy energetyczne oraz na tym, czy podejście procesowe oraz technologie semantyczne mogą w danej sytuacji stanowić rozwiązanie problematycznych kwestii.

Process approach in the management of the organization with the support of semantic technology is applicable to companies from power sector. The study attempts to identify the main and supporting processes in the energy companies. The second part of the study focuses on the analysis of the problems that may occur in the modern energy companies and whether the process approach and semantic technologies may provide a solution to the problematic issues.

W dalszej kolejności został przedstawiony stosunek państw członkowskich wobec węgla, ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego, jako najbardziej pożądanych zasobów energetycznych, które mają kluczowe znaczenie dla bezpieczeństwa energetycznego Unii Europejskie

The aim of this paper is to present the stance of the European Union towards fossil fuels. The analysis begins with introduction that depicts the crucial issues, followed by energy balance of the European Union, which allows to determine the provision of energy resources of the European Union. Furthermore, we present the attitude of members states of the European Union towards coal, oil, and natural gas, as the most desirable energy resources, which are crucial for energy security of the European Union.

Polish regions bordering with regions of the other EU Member States are currently facing new development challenges. Inter alia a perspective of joint activities within the European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation is wide open. In this setting the article presents experiences of a study over cross-border cooperation potential concerning Silesia Region (Poland) and Moravian-Silesian Region (The Czech Republic). The areas under scrutiny are: transportation, tourism, economy, energy sector, culture, human capital linked to education and HEI cooperation, environment.
