Bank Ochrony Środowiska S.A. został powołany w celu wspierania działań na rzecz zrównoważonego rozwoju i ochrony środowiska oraz koordynowania i pomnażania funduszy na finansowanie inwestycji ekologicznych. W artykule omówiono problematykę związaną z finansowaniem inwestycji ekologicznych w Polsce na przykładzie Banku Ochrony Środowiska S.A. w latach 2000-2005.

The environmental protection is taking the important place in the discipline of management studies. Counteracting disadvantageous occurring changes in the environment is one of essential manners of rational using resources of the natural environment as a result of activity of the man. The Bank of the Environmental Protection was appointed to the purpose of the support for actions for the sustainable development and the environmental protection and coordinating and accumulating funds for financing ecological investments. In the article were discussed issues associated with financing ecological investments in Poland on the example of the Bank of the Environmental Protection in years 2000-2005.
