In the contemporary world the economic activity often diverges from the principles of ethics. Being honest in this area is still only associated with compliance with legal rules. To act ethically, the enterprise wants to see the measurable financial profit in it. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the role of ethics in business relationships and identify consequences of its absence on the examples of pathological behavior in the economic sphere. The essential issue stressed by the Author is to show factors enhancing the occurrence of these behaviors. This will allow to express propositions for appropriate action to reduce economic pathology.(

The main aim of the article is indicating the importance of the ethical rules within the economy and the profit it may lead to if the rules are implemented in a non-individualistic way, and, accordingly, how big a loss an economy and the society may face if the ethical rules are replaced by group or individual interests. Along with the theoretical insight (which should constitute an imminent part of each research analysis), the consideration concerning the ethics of the economical activity is based on particular examples taken from the economical reality.

Nowadays, ethical issues are becoming increasingly important in the social consciousness, including the economic awareness. At the same time globalization forces strong competition. Creation of an ethical image of the organization can make a profit, as improving the management and elimination of conflicts. These tools of effective management is only part of those offered the use of codes of ethics in business. So it seems the right approach to combine profit with profit intangible material, ethical, in order to achieve economic success.
