W artykule podjęte zostały rozważania dotyczące możliwości wpływu struktur klastrowych na rozwój miast w nowej perspektywie okresu 2014–2020. Głównym celem artykułu było wskazanie, jak tematyki klastrów i rozwoju miast w aspekcie turystyki wzajemnie na siebie oddziałują. Zaprezentowano podstawowe założenia koncepcji klastrów, w tym w sposób szczególny klastrów turystycznych. Następnie przeanalizowano politykę rozwoju miast i klastrów w wymiarze unijnym i krajowym w perspektywie do 2020 r. Podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytania: Czy miasta dostrzegają oddziaływanie funkcjonujących struktur klastrowych? Czy dostrzega się związek pomiędzy wspieraniem klastrów a wspieraniem obszarów miejskich w dokumentach strategicznych? Czy w miastach mogą skutecznie funkcjonować klastry turystyczne? W artykule podano liczne przykłady klastrów miejskich, w sposób szczególny prezentując miejskie klastry turystyczne (przykłady zagraniczne).

The article presents considerations on the possible impact of cluster structures on urban development in the new perspective 2014–2020. The main purpose of the article is to show the topic of cluster and urban development inteacts in the aspect of tourism. In the article the basic assumptions of the cluster concept, including in particular tourism clusters were presented. Also the policy of urban development and clusters in the dimension of the EU and national perspective to 2020 was taken into consideration. To answer the following questions: whether the city recognizes the impact of the operating structures of cluster? If there is any relationship between the supporting clusters and the supporting of urban areas in the strategic documents? It is possibile to function effectively tourism clusters in the cities? The article provides numerous examples of urban clusters, in particular presents urban tourism clusters (abroad examples).
