Sprawozdania finansowe stanowią główne źródło informacji o sytuacji ekonomicznej jednostki i efektywności prowadzonej działalności zarówno dla zarządzających jednostką, jak i jej otoczenia zewnętrznego. Jednostki budżetowe i samorządowe zakłady budżetowe stanowią grupę podmiotów zobowiązanych do sporządzania tych sprawozdań. Uwzględnienie szczególnych zasad finansowania i funkcjonowania tych podmiotów warunkuje poprawność wniosków wynikających z analizy danych sprawozdawczych. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie i ocena walorów poznawczych sprawozdań finansowych jednostek budżetowych i samorządowych zakładów budżetowych.

Financial statements are the main source of information on the economic situation of individuals and business efficiency for both management unit and its external environment. Budgetary entities and local government budgetary establishment are a group of obliged entities for the preparation of these reports. Taking into account the specific rules of the financing and functioning of these entities is a prerequisite for the validity of the conclusions resulting from the analysis of the data. The aim of the article is to present the values of cognitive accounts of budgetary entities and local establishments.
