Los cambiantes escenarios políticos en Bolivia: de las elecciones generales de 2014 a las elecciones sub-nacionales y referéndums departamentales en 2015

The paper deals with the changes experienced in the Bolivian political scene during a very short time, due to the results of the general elections that took place in October 2014, the sub-national elections in March 2015 and the departmental referendums in the same year. In the first case, the unquestionable victory of the leader Evo Morales generated the feeling that the way to consolidate the hegemonic ruling party in Bolivia was paved to achieve the most important goal: the amendment of the State Constitution to legalize the indefinite reelection of Evo Morales, following the model that has been established among the ALBA countries. However, the electoral defeat in 2015 suffered by the ruling party MAS (Movimiento al Socialismo) reduces that possibility.

El artículo aborda el tema de los cambios que ha experimentado, en un corto tiempo, el escenario político boliviano debido a los resultados de las elecciones generales de octubre de 2014, las elecciones sub-nacionales de marzo de 2015 y los referéndums departamentales del mismo año. En el primer caso, el triunfo incuestionable de Evo Morales generó la sensación de que el camino hacia la consolidación hegemónica del oficialismo en Bolivia estaba allanado para concretar su objetivo más importante: la modificación de la Constitución Política del Estado a fin de legalizar la reelección indefinida de Evo, siguiendo el modelo que se ha instituido entre los países del ALBA. Sin embargo, la derrota electoral que sufre el Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) en 2015, disminuye esa posibilidad.
