Financial cooperative societies in Polish regions were first established in 19th century (in the period of partitions).They were active in the 2nd Republic of Poland. After WW II: credit unions underwent different organizational changes. In the middle of 70s of 20th century they were liquidated. Their revival occurred in the beginning of 90s of 20th century as Cooperative Savings and Credit Unions (SKOK). These financial institutions, mentioned above, are one of entities operating on financial service market and they offer wide range of products. Credit Unions are specific in many features and they develop in a dynamic way. Credit Union's finance management is quite characteristic and fulfills several functions. Within this management there are made financial and investment decisions. There are inner and outer factors that shape these Credit Union's financial and investment decisions.
