(The abstracted paper is also published in English: Ibid. 2004, Nr 1s(33), pp.37-48). Quality and flexibility are the two most potent mantras of the European Employment Strategy (EES). Each incorporates an attempt to square a circle: quality is bracketed with productivity, flexibility with security. The EES is a political compromise, and as such is an attempt to achieve the unity of opposites. From the Delors White Paper though Essen, Amsterdam, Luxembourg and all subsequent elaborations, the underlying message seems to have been that the prescriptions of Keynesianism and monetarism, of social regulation and of deregulation, can somehow be harmonized through a technocratic fix that transcends hard political choices.

Secondary labour markets usually involve job positions with forced flexibility and non-standard working conditions (part-time contracts, fixed-term contracts, work without a contract). They are characterized by no advancement prospects or opportunities for further education, exhausting physical work with inadequate wages and job insecurity, and a frequently long and tiring commute. The working conditions in this sector of the labour market often contribute to marginalization and then to the social exclusion of those who happen to be caught long term in this sector of the labour market instead of preventing and saving them from the risk of marginalization and social exclusion. One of the ways in which secondarization occurs is the universal introduction of part-time contracts in a particular sector of the labour market which then becomes an involuntary trap of underemployment, underpaid wage, insecurity and discrimination. The profession of cashier in foreigner retail chains is an example of such a development. This qualitative study shows the step by step degradation of the employment conditions in this sector and how the lives of women and men working in the sector have deteriorated. At the same time, the condition and status of the profession overall are declining. This phenomenon is referred to as the 'secondarization' process.

'Flexibility' becomes today the fundamental challenge of a life. The period of immaturity and a young man/woman without any consistent system of the values and the fixed priorities become the demand of our times, something that is expected. Due to the influence of the ideal of flexibility the cult of juvenility causes a specific polarization among young people. On one pole there are the ambitious individuals, which in their desires of a success and the high living standards see themselves as unrestraint by any traditional values or the ethical canons. On the other pole there are those rootless young people boycotting the world of money and commercial show, who, veiled by a nihilistic film of mist, are wandering throughout the world. Very often they become victims of various forms of addiction. While the first 'are surfing on the waves of demand', the latter 'are surfing in the wind'. And what is in between? It is the authoress' hope, that there are the most numerous groups, which aim at an authentic life conception and its fulfillment with the things and relationships having a far deeper meaning then that of virtuous creations or balancing on popular 'board made of laminate'.

In the introductory part of our contribution we focused our attention on word order in Italian and we tried to approximate the most specific morphosyntactic attributes of Italian in comparison to other Romance and inflected languages. The unusual flexibility of several syntagmas (for example adjectives), as well as the continuous tendency towards distortion of the basic word order in Italian is manifested by a wide range of marked constructions. These, however, are phenomena that can be recorded even in the earlier literary Works (in particular, the so-called left dislocation and other marked constructions), such as the so-called cleft sentence. We examined these phenomena both from the diachronic and the synchronic perspective in comparison to Slovak and Slavonic languages. In the end, we stress the importance of some breakthrough considerations of the Czech linguist Mathesius, who developed a theory of word order as the most significant factor of the so-called ‘functional sentence perspective’ of inflected languages.

Process of economic globalisation and international integration results in significant changes in quantity and quality of economic and social processes as well as fundamental principles of market economy. Economy has become a system or a network with increasing competitiveness in vertical and horizontal direction. There are a lot of approaches that explain globalisation and its relations, influence and impacts. We have dealt with impact of globalisation on social phenomenons as employment, labour costs, social cohesion and global changes in corporate strategy.

The article investigates the conditions to be met by an organization operating in a turbulent economic environment in order to be able to accomplish its goals. It is assumed that the goals of such an organization are to satisfy the needs of its customers and to increase its goodwill. The identified conditions relate to the internal adoption of market principles, i.e. the introduction of market mechanisms inside the organization. They can be introduced by means of outsourcing.

In this paper we assert that concept of employability can be successfully used for identification of strengths and weaknesses of people disadvantaged in contemporary labour markets (such as graduates, disabled, older people, etc.). Firstly we briefly present and operationalize the concept of employability in four dimensions we have already discussed earlier: human and social capital, adaptability and flexibility, career identity, and institutional conditions on labour market (Horáková – Horák 2013). In the remaining text we apply the concept of employability in the case study of a local project aimed at increasing the employability and finding a job for its unemployed participants.

This paper presents employability concept enabling in schematic appearance decision-makers in the field of educational and labour market policy could be able to identify and solute particular problem areas of disadvantaged groups of unemployed. With help of relevant domestic and foreign literature we denote existing employability definitions and consensual and conflict theories of employability. In the end we put forward our own scheme consisting of four key dimensions of employability that we apply for different kinds of disadvantaged groups.

The chief aim of this study was to develop and validate a questionnaire to analyse the analogical and creative processes used by individuals when solving open problems. The investigation was carried out with a sample of 349 participants, ages 14 to 15 years, 147 boys and 202 girls, from both public and subsidized schools of the Community of Navarre (Spain). The employed procedure was a four-phase sequence: elaboration of the items of the questionnaire, administration of the analogical reasoning and creativity tests, training in the analogical procedure and creativity components, and solution of an open problem, responding individually to the questionnaire. Psychometric analyses revealed that the seven-item Analogical and Creative Questionnaire (ACQ) has satisfactory internal consistency, a clear factor structure, and acceptable convergent and content validity.

Within the late modernity discourse attention has been drawn to the intensifying process of individualization. This process is being accelerated and affected by de-institutionalization and de-stratification - both processes resulting from the crisis of organised modernity. Individualization does not only mean more freedom and autonomy, it also implies more uncertainty and risk. In the liquid modernity people are facing a whole range of global uncertainty linked with crises of social forms, politics, social security, and conformity and consumer identity. All hopes and expectations towards the creating and accomplishing our life plans rest with us – individuals who are freer to take direction of their life trajectories, and at the same time, take responsibility for consequences of potential negative turbulences that could distract these trajectories from their settled direction. Being flexible is one of the most effective strategies how to tackle uncertainty in the age of liquid modernity. „Hunter-gamer“- a whole new concept of human mentality has been gaining more acceptance.
