The presented article concerns a problem of financial liquidity strategies in risk - return concept with the particular attention on three kinds of them: current assets strategy, sources of funding current assets strategy and assets - financial strategy. Using graphic methods and financial data from annual reports companies included in WIG petrol financial liquidity strategies of two the biggest polish petrol companies Grupa Lotos SA oraz Grupa PKN Orlen SA was examined.
