Jednostki działające w sektorze kreatywnym coraz częściej poszukują alternatywnych metod pozyskiwania funduszy ze względu na utrudniony dostęp do tradycyjnych źródeł finansowania. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie współczesnej roli finansowania społecznościowego w dotowaniu projektów kulturalnych w Polsce i Unii Europejskiej. W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiono wzrastającą rolę platform crowdfundingowych charakterystycznych dla projektów kulturalnych w Polsce i innych krajach Unii Europejskiej. Kolejno zaprezentowano różnorodne przykłady projektów realizowanych z wykorzystaniem finansowania społecznościowego. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na coraz większe znaczenie dla sektora kultury nowoczesnych form finansowania działalności, takich jak crowdfunding.

Entities in creative industries are increasingly looking for alternative financing methods, due to the difficult access to the traditional financing sources. The main goal of the article is presenting the contemporary role of crowdfunding in subsidizing cultural projects in Poland and in the European Union. The first part of the article is presenting the types of crowdfunding platforms, characteristic for the cultural projects in Poland and in the EU. The second part of the article is presenting examples of the crowdfunding projects. The obtained results indicate a significant importance of the new financing methods in business like crowdfunding.

Start-ups, facing limited access to the formal capital market, look for an alternative. This is the informal market of capital investors, venture capital funds, and increasingly popular crowdfunding. It is the objective of this paper to analyse and evaluate sources of financing for innovative start-ups.(original abstract)

Crowdfunding jest jedną z obiecujących opcji podczas procesu podejmowania decyzji odnośnie do wyboru alternatywnej formy finansowania w porównaniu do takich tradycyjnych źródeł, jak kredyt czy pożyczka. W dobie technologii informacyjnych, gdzie konsument może także być inwestorem, znajomość zachowań oraz przyjmowanych postaw przez potencjalnych uczestników procesu finansowania jest kluczowa i może stanowić pomocne narzędzie przy budowie skutecznej i efektywnej kampanii. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie podstaw teoretycznych, a także prezentacja oraz analiza wyników ankiety, której celem było zapewnienie lepszego wglądu w zachowania i wiedzę osób wspierających oraz niewspierających kampanie crowdfundingowe – przede wszystkim postrzegania tej formy pozyskiwania funduszy i ogólnego rozeznania w tym temacie, a także zachowań lub potencjalnych zachowań w odniesieniu do kampanii crowdfundingowych oraz jej poszczególnych elementów składowych.

Crowdfunding is one of the promising options during the process of deciding on an alternative form of funding compared to traditional sources such as credit or loan. In the age of information technology, where the consumer can also be an investor, knowledge of the behaviour and attitudes of potential participants in the financing process is crucial and can be a helpful tool in building an effective and efficient campaign. The aim of this work is to present the theoretical basis, as well as to present and analyse the results of the survey, the aim of which was to provide a better insight into the behaviour and knowledge of backers and non-backers of crowdfunding - mainly the perception of this form of fundraising and general discernment of the subject, as well as the behaviour or potential behaviour in relation to crowdfunding campaigns and their individual components.
