The process of design and selection of unemployment counteraction programmes cannot be carried out without the analysis of effectiveness of already existing solutions. Given the above, the paper presents the results of employment and cost effectiveness study for labour market active programmes in slaskie voivodship in 2005-2010. The analysis used the ratios describing the relationship between selected variables representing expenditures and results: across individual programmes, years, and overall for the period of 2005-2010.
