Niniejszy artykuł naświetla metodologiczną propozycję systematycznego opisu pojęcia ‚rewolucja‘ i stara się rozszyfrować jego dymensję znaczeniową. W tym celu skorzystano z lingwistycznej teorii ram semantycznych (por. KONERDING 1993, ZIEM 2008). Zakłada się, że pewne aspekty znaczeniowe rewolucji, powstają jako wynik dyskursywnych praktyk, a zatem mogą one być opisywane jedynie dyskursywnie. Do zilustrowania owej problematyki posłużyła analiza niemieckiego dyskursu z okazji setnej rocznicy ‚rewolucji rosyjskiej‘.

The article presents a methodological proposal for a systematic description of the concept of “revolution” and its semantic dimensions. The analysis is based on the linguistic theory of semantic frames (KONERDING 1993, ZIEM 2008). The adopted assumption is that certain semantic aspects of “revolution” emerge as a result of discourse practices, and consequently can only be described discursively. This is illustrated by an analysis of German discourse surrounding the 100th anniversary of the ʻRussian Revolution’.

Der vorliegende Artikel veranschaulicht den methodischen Vorschlag, das Konzept ‚Revolution‘ systematisch zu beschreiben und dessen Bedeutungsdimensionen zu entschlüsseln. Dafür wird die linguistische Frame-Theorie (vgl. KONERDING 1993, ZIEM 2008) verwendet. Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass bestimmte Bedeutungsaspekte der Revolution als Ergebnis diskursiver Praktiken entstehen und daher nur diskursiv beschrieben werden können. Zur Veranschaulichung dient die Analyse des deutschen Diskurses zum 100. Jahrestag der ‚Russischen Revolution‘.
