Globalization processes are of objective nature and they influence social and economic realities in their entity. Ignorance of those realities connected with globalization when markets are accessible on an international scale may lead to marginalization of national economy. This challenge forces us to analyse the globalization process, especially its asymmetry related to an unequal pace at which particular economies adjust to competition requirements of the global market. Fundamental planes of that analysis have been presented in the article.
