Extensive cartographic material about Dundaga manor has become available to researchers in Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe since 2011. Before that the material was kept in the private Osten-Sacken family archive, which was not publicly available and therefore it has not been used for research purposes till now. Almost all maps show tenant farms and about a half of them are dating back to the period of the 1881–1916. The maps were a part of farm property purchase contracts, according to Dundagas manor’s farm land books, available in Latvian State Historical Archives. The aim of this publication is to make a contribution to other researchers by providing them with descriptive information about this historical source and supplying it with information from other historical sources and previous researchs. The presentation includes information about dating, accuracy and content of cartographic material, farm’s location and type as well as a reference to the present situation as well as a cartographic reconstruction of Mazirbe and Košrags seaside villages.
