Ocena systemu gospodarki odpadami komunalnymi województwa śląskiego w opinii konsumentów

Podstawowym celem artykułu jest ocena zachowań konsumenckich i stanu gospodarki odpadami komunalnymi z perspektywy gospodarstw domowych województwa śląskiego. Metodami badawczymi zastosowanymi w artykule są: analiza dostępnych danych i dokumentów w zakresie gospodarki odpadami komunalnymi w województwie śląskim oraz wyników własnych badań ankietowych. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań można zauważyć zmiany dotyczące wzorców postępowania z odpadami komunalnymi, np. wzrost liczby osób selekcjonujących, zmiany dotyczące sposobów postępowania z poszczególnymi grupami odpadów, takimi jak: opakowania z tworzyw sztucznych, pewne grupy odpadów niebezpiecznych. Stwierdzono jednak, że postęp ten nie dotyczy w takim samym stopniu wszystkich grup odpadów (np. bioodpady, niektóre odpady niebezpieczne, sprzęt elektroniczny i AGD), dlatego też konieczne jest zintensyfikowanie działań edukacyjnych w tym zakresie. Na podstawie badań stwierdzono także rosnące obciążenie gospodarstw domowych kosztami utylizacji odpadów.

The main aim of this article is to assess consumer behaviour and the state of municipal waste management from the perspective of households in Silesian Voivodeship. Research methods applied in the article is the analysis of the available data and documents in the field of municipal waste management in the province of Silesia and the results of Author’s surveys. Based on the survey we can notice changes in the ways of treatment of municipal waste such: increase in the number of people who select wastes, changes to the treatment of different groups of waste such as plastic packaging, some groups of hazardous waste. It was found, however, that progress does not apply in the same way in all waste groups (eg. bio wastes, some hazardous waste, electronic equipment and household appliances), therefore it is necessary to intensify the educational activities in this field. Based on the research also found growing burden of household waste disposal costs.
