The history of research on the biography and artistry of Hryhorija Skoworoda has been in existence for more than two centuries. But the rich spiritual legacy of this author has not been thoroughly explored by our contemporaries. The most difficult problem is the study of the mystical worldview of Skoworoda, which is reflected in his religious-philosophical works.

Tym nie mniej, spuścizna duchowa ukraińskiego myśliciela, jakże bogata w treści religijno-filozoficzne, nadal nie została zgłębiona w pełni przez naszych współczesnych. Pod względem poznawczo-teoretycznym, jednym z najbardziej skomplikowanych zagadnień w zakresie analizy dzieł Skoworody, wydaje się problem adekwatnej interpretacji mistycznego światopoglądu ich autora.

The subject matter is based not only on the themes of the Bible but also on the individual mystical experience of this great Ukrainian poet of the 18th century.

Źródłem rozważań artystycznych w zakresie wskazanej problematyki są zarówno treści Pisma Świętego, jak i osobiste doświadczenia mistyczne wybitnego osiemnastowiecznego poety ukraińskiego.
