Rynek związany z urządzeniami mobilnymi to najbardziej dynamicznie rozwijająca się gałąź przemysłu IT. W pracy przedstawiono analizę wpływu jakości interakcji człowiek-komputer (Human-Computer Interaction, HCI) na popularność aplikacji mobilnych. Opisane zostały zarówno formalne normy branżowe, jak i rozwiązania wynikające z bieżących trendów, wyznaczane przez niezależnych twórców. Wybrane przykłady aplikacji mobilnych posłużyły jako ilustracja tezy o decydującym wpływie projektu interakcji użytkowej na osiągnięcie popularności i sukces ekonomiczny. Wskazane zostały ponadto istotne różnice pomiędzy klasycznymi systemami informatycznymi a aplikacjami mobilnymi, w szczególności w sferze dystrybucji i utrzymania. Pracę podsumowuje przegląd wyzwań i problemów związanych z projektowaniem oraz wdrażaniem aplikacji mobilnych z uwzględnieniem ich użyteczności.

The market of mobile devices is one of the most emerging branches of the industry nowadays. In the paper we consider the influence of the quality of HCI (humancomputer interaction) on the popularity of mobile applications. There are some commercial standards for the good design described, as well as achievements of the independent developers. Several case studies prove that in fact the proper user experience may decide about the ranking and economic success for the mobile application software project. Moreover, we also discuss some significant differences between classic computer software and mobile sector in the area of support and distribution. The last part of the article deals with challenges in the area of design of the mobile applications and their usability.
