Celem artykułu jest ocena innowacyjności gospodarki polskiej i przedstawienie jej pozycji w tym zakresie na tle wybranych krajów Unii Europejskiej i świata. W artykule przedstawiono tezę, iż konkurencyjność i innowacyjność polskiej gospodarki jest niska i istnieje konieczność jej zdynamizowania. W artykule wykorzystano syntetyczne wskaźniki innowacyjności zamieszczone w literaturze przedmiotu. Uważa się, że tylko nowoczesna infrastruktura zarządzania może zapewnić realizację polityki innowacyjnej.

The aim of this article is to assess the innovativeness of the Polish economy and to present its position in this respect compared to selected countries and the EU. The presentation used synthetic innovation indicators published in the literature. It is believed that only a modern infrastructure management can ensure the realization of innovation policy. But without such a policy Poland cannot be seen as a modern state.
