This short paper presents the Institute of Law and Technology which was founded in 2010 as the first and so far only specialised academic institution focused on the law of information and communication technologies and other technological branches of law. Attention is paid to the research areas of the Institute, as well as the achieved results. Next the Institute’s pedagogical activities in this field, national and international co-operation, important organised events and conferences as well as the future direction and strategic areas of the research are presented.

Informace představuje Ústav práva a technologií, který vznikl v roce 2010 jako první a dosud jediné specializované akademické pracoviště zaměřené zejména na právo informačních a komunikačních technologií a další technologické obory práva. Pozornost je zaměřena na oblasti, na něž je v rámci Ústavu soustřeďována vědecko-výzkumná činnost, jakož i dosažené výsledky. Dále je představena pedagogická činnost Ústavu v této oblasti, dosažené vnitrostátní a mezinárodní spolupráce, významné uspořádané akce a konference, jakož i budoucí směřování a strategické cílové oblasti výzkumu v rámci tohoto pracoviště.
