The heroines of his monograph Monika Świerkosz has made two important women writers – Izabela Filipiak and Olga Tokarczuk. The author, however, does not focus only on their works – is on the one hand an excuse to tell about the turbulent history of the (contemporary) literature of women, on the other – becomes a figure of this literature. Świerkosz is also interested in the vision of the tradition of the women's writing constructed by the feminist discourses "mothers" and "daughters" and her involvement in the narratives of the historical and literary criticism.
