Presented to "Liber de festis" of Johannes of Marienwerder (1343 – 1417) process of changes in the spiritual life Bl. Dorothy of Montau (1347 – 1394) was based on Eucharist, frequent accepting the Holy Communion, the confession and on the contemplative prayer. In the centre of her spiritual life is Jesus Christ. Advice from the "Liber de festis" can be an inspiration for Christians. This book is also a certificate of the vision Bl. Dorothy of Montau. Dorothea’s feast day is celebrated on 25 June.

Objawienia Doroty oraz historię jej życia przedstawił Jan z Kwidzyna w trylogii składającej się z: Liber de vita venerabilis – 237 rozdziałów opowiadających o latach młodzieńczych, małżeństwie, wychowaniu dzieci, pielgrzymkach i towarzyszących tym latom życia przeżyciach duchowych, Apparitiones seu liber de festis – zawierającej wizje Świętej otrzymane w dni świą¬teczne roku kościelnego oraz Septililium – zawierającej 7 traktatów o dowodach łask mistycznych otrzymanych przez Dorotę i o jej wyznaniach grze¬chów. Z dzieł tych na pierwszy plan wychodzi duchowość chrystocentryczna, przepojona tęsknotą za zjednoczeniem duszy z wolą Bożą, budująca życie duchowe na Eucharystii, częstym przyjmowaniu komunii świętej i spowiedzi oraz na modlitwie kontemplacyjnej. W przedstawionych wizerunkach świętej, bł. Dorota najczęściej ukazana jest z następującymi atrybutami: ze stygmatami i wieżą, w której została zamurowana. Jej wspomnienie liturgiczne przypada na 25 czerwca.

Johannes of Marienwerder presented Dorothy's revelations and the story of her life in the trilogy comprising of: Liber de vita venerabilis – 237 chapters telling about the childhood, the marriage, raising children, pilgrimages and spiritual experiences; Apparitiones seu liber de festis – containing her sacred visions received on holidays of the liturgical year and Septililium – concluding 7 treaties about mystical graces received by Dorothy and about her confessions of sins. In the centre of her spiritual life is Jesus Christ. An Eucharist, frequent accepting the Holy Communion, the confession and the contemplative prayer are the essence. Dorothea's feast day is celebrated on 25 June.

Die Offenbarung der Dorothee und Geschichte ihres Lebens hat Johannes Marienwerder in der Trilogie dargestellt, die aus Liber de vita venerabilis – 237 Kapitel, die von den jugendlichen Jahren, von der Ehe, der Erziehung von Kindern, den Pilgerfahrten und den diese Jahre begleitenden geistigen Erfahrungen erzählen, Apparitiones seu liber de festis – den Visionen der Heiligen, die sie in den Festtagen des Kirchenjahres erfuhr, bestehen, und aus Septililium, das aus 7 Traktate über Beweise der mystischen von Dorothee bekommenen Gnaden und über ihr Geständnis der Sünden, sowie aus den Biografien Vita prima und Vita lindana (Der lindanische Lebenslauf) besteht. Aus diesen Werken erscheint auf dem ersten Blick die christozentrische Geistigkeit, die mit Sehnsucht nach der Vereinigung der Seele mit dem Willen Gottes erfüllt ist, die das geistige Leben auf der Eucharistie, dem häufigen Empfang der Kommunion, dem Beichten und auf dem kontemplativen Gebet baut. Auf den Bildern ist sie oft mit den Wundmalen und dem Turm dargestellt, in den sie eingemauert wurde. Sie wird am 25. Juni, dem Tag ihres Todes, liturgisch erwähnt.
