It's been taken granted the conjunctive adverbs do the same function not only in the conjoining of microstructures but also in the conjoining of macrostructures in Korean text building. This paper questions whether macrostructures have conjoining markers such as conjunctive adverbs as in microstructures. For this research, we will examine the editorial articles of the daily newspapers qualitatively because editorials can be supposed to be the most typical written texts. According to the observation of the data and contrary to our expectation, conjunctive adverbs are not prominent at the borders of macrostructures. Instead, other morphological or lexical forms such as zosa or other time/place adverbs are relevant there. Furthermore, the internal cohesion of a macrostructure plays a decisive role in differentiating it from others. Consequently, the conjoining of macrostructures is achieved in various implicit ways that would be explained below rather than explicit markers such as conjunctive adverbs. So it could be said that this paper is on the implicit markers of text structure.
