Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie specyfiki kaszubskiej stylizacji językowej (zasobu środków stylizacyjnych i funkcji stylizacji) w powieści gdańskiego pisarza Pawła Huellego Śpiewaj ogrody. Kaszubska stylizacja językowa w tej powieści jest dość bogata i zróżnicowana, choć nie obejmuje zbyt obszernych fragmentów tekstu. Bohaterowie kaszubscy mówią żywą, autentyczną kaszubszczyzną lub przeplatają ją z językiem polskim (mają bowiem także polskojęzyczną kompetencję językową). Zwykle są rozumiani przez Polaków. Ponadto w powieści pojawiają się też (stosunkowo nieliczne) elementy leksykalne kaszubskie dla nazwania elementów i zjawisk z życia rodzinno-obyczajowego Kaszubów i ich kultury. Pisarz przywołuje także w powieści wyznaczniki folkloru kaszubskiego, opisuje obyczaje kaszubskie i podkreśla długotrwałą obecność Kaszubów na Pomorzu. Wszystkie te elementy stylizacji dobrze współgrają z konsytuacją, podkreślają koloryt epoki i środowiska, uwypuklają autentyzm postaci, podkreślają wierność bohaterów obyczajom i tradycjom, często też są motywowane koniecznością informacyjną tekstu. Język kaszubski jest w powieści Huellego również przedmiotem zainteresowania sam w sobie – jako nośnik tradycji i kultury, a Kaszubi zostają przedstawieni jako pomost pomiędzy światem odchodzącym w przeszłość (światem niemieckojęzycznych mieszkańców Gdańska) a światem nowym (światem napływających do tego miasta po drugiej wojnie światowej Polaków).

The purpose of the article is to present the uniqueness of the Kashubian linguistic stylisation (of the resources of stylistic means and stylisation of functions) in the novel by the Gdańsk writer Paweł Huelle entitled Śpiewaj ogrody. The Kashubian linguistic stylisation in that novel is fairly rich and diversified, although is visible only in some fragments of the text. The characters speak in vivid authentic Kashubian or combine it with Polish (as they have also the native speakers’ competence in Polish). In most cases they are understood by the Poles. In addition, in the novel there are (relatively not numerous) Kashubian lexical elements to give names to the phenomena and manifestations of the everyday life of the Kashubians and their culture. In his novel the writer also recalls indicators of the Kashubian folklore, describes Kashubian customs and emphasises the long-standing presence of the Kashubians in Pomerania. All these factors of stylisation harmonise with the circumstances described, highlight the colours of the time and the milieu, underline the authenticity of the characters and their faithfulness to their customs and traditions, and quite often they are motivated by the informational necessity of the text. In the novel written by Huelle the Kashubian language is interesting itself as a carrier of tradition and culture, and the Kashubians are presented as a transition between the outgoing world (the world of German-speaking inhabitants of Gdańsk) and the incoming world (the world of the Poles inflowing into Gdańsk after the Second World War).
