The paper is devoted to Konstanty Ryszard Domagała (1923–2012), who inherited his love for music from his father. In 1939 he was taught to play the organ and grand piano by Walenty Hakowski, an organist in the Siedlce Cathedral. He graduated from the organ class in the State Secondary School of Music in Warsaw, a correspondence secondary school in Warsaw and the Music Conservatory in Warsaw. He worked in the Niwiski Parish and was later employed in the Siedlce Cathedral. In 1953 he started working in the State Music Centre (Państwowe Ognisko Muzyczne) in Łuków, teaching a grand piano class and theoretical subjects there. In 1954 he established the Municipal Public Music Centre (Miejskie Społeczne Ognisko Muzyczne) in Siedlce and became its director. The place was the first and only music education institution in post-war Siedlce. It was thanks to him that the name of the Public Music Centre was changed for the State Primary School of Music (Państwowa Szkoła Muzyczna I stopnia). Later, he founded the Secondary School Complex of Music (Zespół Szkół Muzycznych II stopnia). In 1962 he started the “Podlasie” Song and Dance Ensemble, which was extremely successful. He is the author of such publications as: Towarzystwa Muzyczne. Powstanie – rozwój Szkolnictwa Muzycznego w Siedlcach (Siedlce 2004), Muzyczna Jubilatka (Siedlce 2007), Spełnione marzenia (Siedlce 2009). He also published folk songbooks. K. Domagała's artistic work and activity was appreciated. He was awarded various distinctions, medals, diplomas and prizes. He worked hard for what he had achieved in his life. What should be stressed is that his deeds and the path he had taken let him go down in Siedlce history as one of the best and most famous people.
