Dziedzictwo religijno‑sakralne jako czynnik konstytuujący tożsamość regionalną mieszkańców Krajny

Tożsamość regionalna (obok lokalnej) jawi się jako jeden z najważniejszych i najczęściej spotykanych wariantów identyfikacji społeczno‑kulturowej, gwarantujący jednostce poczucie bliskości, wspólnotowości, powinowactwa oraz przynależności. Do licznej i niebywale różnorodnej grupy czynników budujących ten rodzaj tożsamości zaliczyć należy bezsprzecznie – rozlegle interpretowane – dziedzictwo religijno‑sakralne. Prymarnym celem artykułu, będącego pokłosiem dociekań wpisujących się w szeroko zakrojone badania nad tożsamością współczesnych mieszkańców Krajny, regionu położonego w północno‑zachodniej Polsce, na pograniczu dwóch makroregionów: Wielkopolski i Pomorza, jest określenie, jaką rolę odgrywa owa kategoria w procesie konstruowania regionalnej identyfikacji Krajniaków, a także wskazanie elementów, które składają się na tę spuściznę i posiadają zarazem tożsamościotwórczy potencjał.

Regional identity (along with the local one) undoubtedly seems to be one of the most important and the most common variants of social‑cultural identification that guarantees one the feelings of closeness, being in a community, kinship and affinity. Religious‑sacral heritage – broadly interpreted – should unquestionably be included in the group of the factors that build this kind of identity, the group that is countless and exceptionally diverse. The primary aim of the article, which is the result of the inquiry undertaken as part of the extensive, in‑depth research on the identity of the contemporary citizens of Krajna, the region in North‑West Poland, at the borderland of two macroregions: Wielkopolska [Greater Poland] and Pomorze [Pomerania], is to define what role this category plays in the process of building the regional identification of the people of Krajna, as well as to point out the elements that contribute to this inheritance and together show some identity‑building potential.
