In der höfischen Literatur zeigt sich deutlich die Verbindung von Macht, Gewalt und Sprache. Sprachliche und physische Gewalt korrelieren häufig. Gewalt ist akzeptabel, wenn Sie von der richtigen Seite ausgeübt wird. Auch für die Liebe werden Metaphern der Gewalt gebraucht. Während Manipulation ein weit verbreitetes sprachliches Vorgehen ist, erscheint die Lüge als erzählerisches Tabu.

Die Lüge ist eine kommunikative Erscheinung an sich. Daraus ergeben sich wesentliche Schlussfolgerungen, die für ein besseres Verständnis der Frage der Lüge und für die Bedeutung, die sie im Prozess der gegenseitigen Kommunikation erfüllen kann, wichtig sind. Im Artikel zeige ich, auf welche Weise gegenseitige, dynamische Querverbindungen zwischen einzelnen Elementen des Kommunikationsprozesses, also zwischen dem Absender, Empfänger und der Mitteilung die endgültige - erschwerende oder erleichternde - Funktion der Lüge im Prozess der gegenseitigen Kommunikation beeinflussen.

Lie is a communication phenomenon. This is the reason why there are many  conclusions that are important for a better understanding of the lie itself and the significance it can play in the process of mutual communication. In this work I will try to show how the mutual, feedback and dynamic connections between particular elements of the communication process, and therefore the sender, recipient and message affect the final – hindering or facilitating – function of a lie in the process of mutual communication

Kłamstwo jest w swej istocie zjawiskiem komunikacyjnym. Z faktu tego wynika szereg istotnych wniosków, ważnych dla lepszego zrozumienia samego zagadnienia kłamstwa, jak i znaczenia, jakie pełnić ono może w procesie wzajemnej komunikacji. W artkule wskazuję, w jaki sposób wzajemne, zwrotne i dynamiczne powiązania pomiędzy poszczególnymi elementami procesu komunikacji, a więc nadawcą, odbiorcą oraz komunikatem wpływają na ostateczną – utrudniającą bądź ułatwiającą – funkcję kłamstwa w procesie wzajemnej komunikacji.
