Every year, many, new varieties entered into the National Register of Varieties of Agricultural Plants are admitted to trading on the territory of Poland. In addition, after Poland’s accession to the structures of the European Union, legal regulations at the EU level, allow the placing on the market of plant varieties registered in any Community country. On the base of Post Registration Trials (PRT) in Wielkopolska attempt to analyze the interaction of varieties of triticale with soil and climatic conditions for yield, height, humidity and 1000 grain weight. The research material was varieties admitted to experiments in the years 2013/14 – 2015/16. The most important and the most valuable effect of research conducted in the Post Registration Trials system for farmers is an annual “List of cultivars recommended for cultivation in the area of the province”. In this edition, available to every grower (Advisory Centres, agricultural schools, all kinds of agricultural fairs and exhibitions) are given in clear and transparent tabulations of the results of the conducted experiments. Research carried out in the system of Post Registration Trials are directed directly at the needs of agricultural practice. The main aim of PRT is making it easier for farmers the right selection of the most valuable varieties for cultivation, adapted to local conditions. Growers thanks to this type of research have continuous information about the value of varieties, including selection of the right varieties cultivated crop species
