This article is an attempt to recreate the reading list of Katarzyna Wapowska of Maciejów on the basis of both the dedication letter by Antonin of Przemyśl, found at the beginning of the Polish translation of the Rosario by Louis of Granada (1583) and the parenetic work by Szymon Wysocki titled Kształt pobożności, to jest żywot świątobliwy i śmierć chwalebna (.) kasztelanki przemysłkiej (1606). The titles mentioned by the Dominican and the Jesuit both create an almost model set of books that were used to create the post-Tridentine religious principles promoted by the clergymen of those times. Among the books read by Katarzyna Wapowska we can find i.a. works by Thomas à Kempis, Louis of Granada, Ignatius of Loyola, hagiographic works (Lives of the Saints by Peter Skarga) as well as Christian parenetic works (O żywocie i śmierci najjaśniejszej księżny parmeńskiej by Sebastian Morales).
