The study is an attempt to discuss two calls for applications for support operations under the “Modernisation of agricultural holdings” from the Rural Development Program 2014-2020. The number of applications for support exceeding the limits of funds envisaged within the framework of calls for proposals indicates a continuing interest in the action of Polish farmers. This development may indicate the continued existence of high investment needs among Polish farmers. The majority of applications are made in the D area which is particularly concerned with the rationalization of production technology, the introduction of innovation, the change of production profile, the increase in production scale, the improvement of production quality or the increase of added value of the product. Among the areas supporting the development of animal production, the greatest interest has been observed in the area B - development of cow milk production is of greatest interest. The pool of funds to support investments related to the area D , including rationalization of production technology, introduction of innovation, change of production profile, increase of production scale, improvement of production quality or value added of the product has increased to over € 583 million (over € 218 million). This support can reach more than 12 thousand polish farms.
