The article presents a method of data collection concerning micro-enterprises based on business study of enterprises employing up to 9 people. The author discusses the changes in methodology and organization of the surveys resulted from specialization of Polish statistical offices and the obligation to submit data electronically. This work led to the formulation of the factors affecting the completeness and quality of the results and an indicating one of the research directions - the use of administrative sources in order to reduce the reporting obligations of micro-enterprises. This article presents results of a study that aimed to identify differences in the introduction of product, process and organizational innovations between production/ service/trade/building and mixed-activity microenterprises. In order to fulfill the aim of the study, primary data were collected and analyzed. The data gathered from 770 Polish enterprises enabled drawing conclusions about the relationship between the type of activity undertaken by microenterprises and type of the innovation introduced by them in their practice.

W opracowaniu podjęto się rozpoznania podstawowych wewnętrznych czynników, które determinują reakcje mikroprzedsiębiorstw na sygnały rynkowe. Ponadto celem podjętych prac była konstrukcja katalogu silnych i słabych stron mikroprzedsiębiorstw rozpatrywanych z perspektywy ich reakcji na impulsy dochodzące z rynku. Mając na względzie oszacowanie znaczenia wytypowanych czynników oraz zapewnienie wysokiego poziomu obiektywizmu i trafności wnioskowania w podjętym postępowaniu badawczym wykorzystano metodę delficką.

The present study is aimed to identify the characteristic features of microenterprises that determine their reactions to the market signals. Moreover, this study aims to create a catalogue of strengths and weaknesses of micro enterprises taking into consideration their response to market changes. The investigation was based on secondary data.

Methodology of the study - based on an analysis of surveys addressed to micro and small business owners in the village up to 50 000 inhabitants. Zagadnienie innowacyjności mikroprzedsiębiorstw znajduje się w jednym z istotnych obszarów dociekań nauk ekonomicznych. Do najważniejszych przyczyn tego stanu zaliczyć należy silne powiązanie innowacyjności z konkurencyjnością gospodarki oraz dużą rolę mikroprzedsiębiorstw we współczesnych gospodarkach. Wciąż aktualnym jest także pytanie o to, jak skutecznie zarządzać innowacjami w przedsiębiorstwie. Głównym celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie koncepcji oceny sposobu zarządzania innowacjami J. Tidda i J. Bessanta oraz jej praktycznego zastosowania na przykładzie mikroprzedsiębiorstw regionu kujawsko-pomorskiego. Dokonano tego na podstawie, przeprowadzonych w 2014 i 2015 r. badań 83 mikroprzedsiębiorstw.

The issue of microenterprise innovation lies in the one key area of economic sciences. Among the main reasons of this situation we can find the strong connection between an innovation and a competitiveness of the economy and the great role of microenterprises in the modern market economies. The question – how to effectively manage innovation – is still current. The main objective of the article is to present the Tidd and Bessant’s concept of innovation management process and its practical application on the example of kuyavian-pomeranian microenterprises. This was done on the basis of the research carried out in 2014 and 2015 by 83 microenterprises.

W artykule przedstawiono nową miarę płynności finansowej małego przedsiębiorstwa, opartą na porównaniu skumulowanych szeregów czasowych wpływów pieniężnych i produkcji wykonanej. Opisano trzy warianty miernika płynności finansowej w małym przedsiębiorstwie, porównujące skumulowane wpływy pieniężne ze skumulowanymi wartościami produkcji wykonanej. Omówiono statystyczne narzędzia analizy płynności, rozważanej w formie miesięcznych szeregów czasowych oraz przedstawiono szeregi czasowe płynności z realnego małego przedsiębiorstwa. Wskazano też na możliwości zastosowań narzędzi statystyki i ekonometrii do prostej analizy szeregów czasowych płynności, dla skutecznego zarządzania małą firmą. (abstrakt oryginalny)

In the article a new measure of financial liquidity in small enterprise was presented, it is based on the comparison of accumulated time series of money inflows to production output. Three variants of financial liquidity measure in small enterprise were presented, which enable to compare accumulated money incomes to accumulated values of production output. Statistical instruments of analysis of liquidity considered in the form of monthly time series and time series of liquidity from real small enterprise were also discussed. The possibilities of application of statistics and econometric instruments for simple analysis of time series of liquidity, for successful management in small enterprise were also indicated.
