W artykule podjęto tematykę prezentowania muzyki w instytucjach muzealnych. Muzyka jako część dziedzictwa kulturowego coraz częściej stanowi przedmiot ekspozycji muzealnych. Nowoczesne technologie, tak chętnie wykorzystywane obecnie w muzeach, umożliwiają ukazanie muzyki przy jej asubstancjonalności i czasowym charakterze. Jednym z celów artykułu jest także przedstawienie Muzeum Polskiej Piosenki w Opolu jako nowoczesnej instytucji, która poprzez swoją multimedialną wystawę prezentuje historię piosenki polskiej od lat dwudziestych XX wieku po współczesność.

The article concerns the presentation of music in the museum institutions. Music, as a part of the cultural heritage, is more often the subject of museum exhibitions. Modern technologies, more willingly applied in museums, allow us to show music within its temporary character and immateriality. Another purpose of this article is to show the Polish Song Museum in Opole as a modern institution, which through its multimedia exhibition presents the history of Polish songs from the 20’s of the twentieth century till the present day.
