EN
The article comprises an analysis of the ideal nature of the description of original innocence carried out by John Paul II at the beginning of his catechetical addresses 'Mezczyzna i niewiasta stworzyl ich' (Male and female he created them). The author presents an interpretational option which extends this description in accordance with the thesis of Irenaeus of Lyon. He claimed original innocence not to be an ideal state of humanity, but its immaturity. Such an approach opens new perspectives for creative elaborations of Karol Wojtyla's idea, which he himself called an adequate anthropology.
