In this article I present the content of the Norbertine commonplace book stored in the special collections department of the Franciscan Provincial Library in Gniezno. This commonplace book (Latin: silva rerum) is a kind of library of its own: a collection of copies of speeches, orations on the current political life in the eighteenth century, poetic works, greetings, occasional congratulations, as well as own works of the unknown Premonstratensian monk – the creator and owner of this commonplace book.

Artykuł prezentuje zasób norbertańskiej silvae rerum przechowywanej obecnie w dziale zbiorów specjalnych Biblioteki Prowincjalnej Franciszkanów w Gnieźnie (BPFG). Sylwa stanowi swoistą bibliotekę: zbiór odpisów mów, oracji dotyczących bieżącego życia politycznego XVIII wieku, dzieł poetyckich, życzeń, powinszowań okazjonalnych, a także twórczości własnej nieznanego zakonnika norbertańskiego – twórcy i właściciela sylwy.
