Sieci między organizacyjne stają się coraz bardziej rozległe, przekraczając granice krajów i kultur. Tworzenie łańcuchów logistycznych w tych warunkach staje się skomplikowane i trudne, choć oczekuje się, aby logistyka nie tylko nie była barierą roz-woju sieci, ale wręcz jej stymulatorem. Pomocne w konstruowaniu procesów logistycz-nych są technologie informatyczne, których głównym zadaniem jest ułatwienie komuni-kacji pomiędzy potencjalnymi uczestnikami sieci i łańcuchów logistycznych. W artykule omówiono znaczenie informatycznych technologii integracyjnych, moż liwości i korzyści wprowadzenia ontologii do logistyki sieci oraz przeanalizowano rolę operatorów logistycznych w tym zakresie.

Organizational networks are becoming more extensive, crossing borders of countries and cultures. Creating logistics chains under these conditions becomes compli-cated and difficult, but it is expected that logistics does not create barriers to develop-ment network, but even is a network facilitator. In the construction of logistics processes ICT is the main enabler whose main task is to facilitate communication between poten-tial participants in the network and logistics chains. The article discusses the importance of ICT in network integration, capabilities and benefits of ontologies to logistics net-works, and investigates the role of logistics service providers in this field.
