The main aim of the article is the evaluation of ownership protection in Po¬land in 1995-2014. In the first part the legal regulations connected with ownership pro¬tection are be shown (both resulted from participation in European Union and other in¬ternational organizations and Polish legal system). In the second part of the article the main indicators evaluating the ownership protection are shortly described and their val¬ues are presented for Poland in comparison with other European Union member states. The values of ownership protection for Poland fluctuate, but the sharp decline of their values can be shown directly after 2004, when Poland became the member state of EU. Nowadays these values are higher but still not so high as in the period before 2004.
