The main aim of the article was to analyze the concept of Polish corporate governance in the context of international experience, particularly experience of Anglo-Saxon and German. In the first part of the paper presents conclusions from the world’s experience, resulting from numerous research projects. These are recommendations such as strengthening the role of supervisory boards (boards of directors) in the relationship with the managements of companies, increasing the role of so-called independent directors in the boards, the appointment of specialist committees and to implement "codes of good corporate practice”. In the second part of the paper focuses on the analysis of the Polish concept of corporate governance and its relevance to global trends. The whole article was completed a reminder of the important conclusions.
