Konsumpcja czasu wolnego przez mieszkańców dużych aglomeracji jest coraz częściej realizowana w przestrzeni miejskiej. Park miejski może być podmiotem zorientowanym na zaspokajanie szerokiego zakresu potrzeb m.in.: rekreacyjnych, turystycznych, kulturalnych, sportowych. Oferta Wojewódzkiego Parku Kultury i Wypoczynku im. gen. Jerzego Ziętka SA (nazwa marki do komunikacji na zewnątrz – Park Śląski) jest przykładem usług systemowych. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie preferencji odwiedzających w zakresie mediów wykorzystywanych w promocji oferty usług systemowych Parku Śląskiego. Płaszczyzną dla prezentowanych w artykule rozważań są wyniki badań bezpośrednich zrealizowanych w Parku Śląskim w 2014 r. Wyniki badań wskazują, iż z uwagi na różnorodność odwiedzających pod względem zmiennych społeczno-demograficznych i behawioralnych konieczne jest przeprowadzenie segmentacji lokalnej społeczności.

The consumption of leisure by inhabitants of large agglomerations is increasingly being implemented in the urban space. Park city may be the entity oriented to satisfy the needs of a wide range e.g.: recreation, tourist, cultural and sports activities. Offer Wojewódzki Park Kultury i Wypoczynku im. gen. Jerzego Ziętka SA (common name Silesian Park) is an example of systematic services. The purpose of this article is to present media visitors’ preferences used to the promotion offer of Silesian Park systematic services. Background for considerations presented in the article are the results of direct research conducted in the Silesian Park in 2014. The results show that due to the diversity of visitors in terms of socio-demographic and behavioral variables segmentation is necessary to conduct for the local community.
